Doors open to the Grand Archives
In the world of the Meander; the same universe in which the Zoo Crew reside - is an endlessly large library. Filled to the brim with oddities; adventures, mysterious artefacts and antiquities and much more. A group of explorers who agree to assist the Grand Archives find themselves in the throws of the endless library.
The Librarians
As a team; the group of adventurers that find themselves within the stacks and shelves of the endless library with the intent of assisting those who work there. I designed simple tokens for each of the characters based on the player's wishes and expectations.
Each character has a unique motivation that pans into their excursion and journey into the Grand Archives.
Vassealea
A half-snake lady who intends to become a full-snake lady.
Alvis
An excitable wizard, keen to be thrown into the thralls of this expansive library.
Leia
A powerful woman with a dark past she wishes to leave behind her.
Dodger
An anxious wizard who wishes to find a way to control his spellbook.
Sunny / Umber
The fifth member of the Librarians is a single character with two distinct personalities that reside within one body.
Something of a makeshift zombie and stuffed to the brim with hay and straw - Sunny / Umber was found inside of the Archives themselves, with no idea how they get there and no memory of a prior life.
All that they have is a large set of scissors that they were found with that has two blades - one resembling the sun and the other; the moon.
Body concept for Sunny / Umber
Between the hours of 6am and 6pm; Sunny is in control of the body. Sunny is sweet, somewhat slow, a little goofy and full of enthusiasm.
Sunny lives up to his namesake with his sunny disposition; willing to throw himself into the thralls of danger in order to protect his friends and the people he cares about. He holds the large pair of scissors in one hand; a shield in his other hand and many spells that buff, heal and protect his friends.
Between the hours of 6pm and 6am; Umber is in control of the body. Umber is a stark contrast to Sunny; with a depressive and edgy personality - he is grim and poetic with a tragic outlook.
Umber's bleak and dark outlook adds to his playstyle; being aggressive and assertive with little-to-no regard for his personal wellbeing. He holds the large pair of scissors with both hands, using them to snip at enemies; while casting damaging and deadly spells.
I love reformatting their kits depending on who was in charge. It was always fun to play with.
The two often wore a bag over their head to hide their frightful features.
The duo have a special connection with Vassealea as she was the one who found them and allowed them to connect with a real person for the first time.
While Sunny protects her in the style of a knight; Umber protects her in the style of gothic vampire fiction.
Both are attached to her.
